For a breakdown of our class levels please take a look below:

Beginner Pole

Beginner Pole

This level is suitable for brand new starters, teaching you the basics you will need to start your pole journey. Join in the fun and learn in a friendly and supportive environment, moving at a pace that suits you, whilst safely pushing you to achieve more.

At this level we will be working on all of your most important pole foundations, such as grip technique, flow movements, climbs, spins from the floor and basic seated positions. A lot of the class will be focused on building strong foundations in technique and strength and building a greater sense of body awareness.

The maximum level of movements we cover in this class is a pole climb, working towards a basic inverted position, seated holds and short spin combinations from the floor.

Improver Pole

Improver Pole

At this level you will begin to build on your strong foundations to start creating longer sequences of movements, building endurance and move on to more complex grips and movements patterns.

In this level you can expect to be working on movements such as our core inverted positions Outside and Inside Leg Hang. We will also condition your Chopper position to start working towards that ever elusive deadlift invert. We will introduce more complex grips such as split grip and foot grip and will use these for longer combinations of movements both on spin and static. Cross Knee/Ankle releases will be your progression from a standard seated hold and we will also look to introduce some slightly harder flexibility elements.

Low Intermediate Pole

Low Intermediate Pole

At this level we will be really starting to ramp up your movement up the pole. You can expect a lot more inverted work and focusing more on dynamic pole and static rotation from up the pole. For conditioning work you will start to look at your aerial inversions and shouldermounts from the floor as well as conditioning to take more weight through unusual grips like your Split Grip for arms only movements.

By this point we would expect you to have all of your core inversions on your preferred side (Outside and Inside Leg Hang and the prep position for Butterfly) and at this level we will start to ensure you have these on both sides. We will look at more difficult commonly used movements such as Brass Monkey in more detail and even start looking at baby flips off the pole.

At this level you can also expect to see harder base work, such as handstands, more flexibility (and strength in flexibility) work and we will begin to introduce Twisted Grip as a transitional position.

High Intermediate Pole

High Intermediate Pole

At higher Intermediate level we would expect you to be confident in a wide range of inverted positions. Here is where we will start to work on the more advanced core movements thats you see so often in pole, such as your Ayesha, Shouldermount and Handspring.

We will start to add in Aerial Inversions as part of combos and also look at your inversions on spin pole, both up and down the pole. Higher level of strength and flexibility will be required for those flexi tricks now and you'll dive further into the world of dynamic pole and static rotations.

You'll put together longer combinations both on spin and static pole involving complex transitions and probably a flip or to out of them!

Advanced Pole

Advanced Pole

Anything goes here!

Minimum requirements for this class are confident Inverts and Aerial Inverts on static and spin pole. Students must be able to Shouldermount from the floor and hold a confident Ayesha in at least 2 different grip styles.

Students should have a good level of strength surrounding their flexibility as we will be transitioning in and out of flexible moves at this level that require good strength in end ROM.

Other things we would expect at this level are confidence and a good understanding in static rotations and dynamic pole, handstands and flips as these will all feature often in classes.

Spinny Pole Flow

Spinny Pole Flow

A class dedicated just to spinny pole!

I toyed with whether these sessions should be put in the 'Pole Fitness' or 'Choreography' section, as really, they are a bit of both! The idea behind them is to build up tolerance, fluidity and flow on spin pole, this may be through learning short, interesting transitions on spin pole, or longer combinations. Each instructor that teaches this class has their own special way of delivering the sessions, some put their flows to music, others allow you to feel the music for yourself and move to it. They are all pretty spectacular to attend.

Spinny Pole Flow classes run at all 3 KPole Studios and are suitable for higher beginner level and up as we will expect you to know basic beginner grips and movements in these classes.
